Florida’s back-to-school sales tax-free holiday is coming up! From August 7, 2020-August 8, 2020, state and local tax prices will not be required on school items that cost $15 or less, shoes and clothing that cost $60 or less, or the first $1,000 of the sales price of personal computers and some computer-related accessories. Some examples of these sales tax-free items are as follows:
• Glue (stick and liquid)
• Legal pads
• Lunch boxes
• Notebook filler paper
• Cellophane (transparent) tape
• Colored pencils
• Composition books
• Computer disks (blank CDs only)
• Construction paper
Computer paper, masking tape, printer paper, correction tape/fluid, and some books are among items that are still taxable during this holiday.
