Whether you prefer traditional fishing or fly fishing, Tallahassee offers a variety of freshwater lakes all throughout the city to visit and do so at. Check out these 3 Tallahassee fishing spots.
Lake Talquin — Lake Talquin is a widespread reservoir, found just west of Tallahassee, that is an ideal spot for boating and fishing. Located at 14850 Jack Vause Landing Rd, this lake is found within Lake Talquin State Park and offers great access to freshwater fishing.
Lafayette Heritage Trail Park — This expansive park, found at 4900 Heritage Park Blvd, encompasses parts of the former Piney Z Plantation and the Lake Lafayette system and runs adjacent to Tom Brown Park. It offers multiple outlets to fish at, a universally accessible fishing pier, and boat ramps. Download a map of the park, here.
Lake Jackson — The iconic Lake Jackson is a shallow lake found in Leon County that features a humongous space to boat and fish at. This lake can be accessed through a number of different spots, with boat ramps located at Crowder Drive and Faulk Drive.
Anybody with a valid fishing license can enjoy these 3 Tallahassee fishing spots, but be sure to adhere to specific rules and regulations that each individual lake may impose.
