This year’s Florida State Pizza Festival has been postponed due to COVID-19 concerns and large gathering restrictions. “U.S. Pizza Festivals Number 1 priority is and always will be the safety of our festival attendees, pizza chefs, vendors and everyone of the pizza lovers like us out there. The Tallahassee Pizza Festival is delayed until further notice,” a representative of U.S. Pizza Festivals told The Tally Wire.
Originally scheduled for Saturday, April 18, 2020, from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., pizza lovers will now have to wait a bit longer for their chance to have authentic, tasty Italian pizza in the Capital City. The festival was slated to have live music, fun activities, beer and wine, entertainment, and, of course, pizza. All pizza at this festival was to be made on site, and each pizza to be made directly by pizzerias from Italy.
While a new date, location, and time has yet to be announced, updates will be posted to U.S. Pizza Festivals’ Facebook page. “Our team has and will continue to monitor the current recommendations for large gatherings of people,” they noted, but until then, encourage to, “please support your favorite local pizza joint(s). Eat pizza, love people!”
