5 Events at FSU Students Should Attend This January

The Spring semester at Florida State University begins Monday, January 6, 2020, and new opportunities, new organizations to join, and new classes are just a couple of things that are kicking off on campus. There is no better way to kick off the new year, and new school year, then to attend events on campus to get more involved. Here are 5 of them.

Spring Involvement Fair — FSU Student Organizations and Involvement and FSU Campus Rec’s Spring Involvement Fair will take place on Tuesday, January 7, 2020, from 6:00 p.m.– 8:00 p.m. Student organizations and school departments from all across campus will be on site to talk to students. This is the perfect event for students who are looking to get more involved on campus and want to learn more about all the organizations at FSU.

Rec Fest at Leach — From 3:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 5, 2020, students can head over to the Leach Student Recreation Center for free food, games, basketball, and more. Hosted by FSU Campus Rec and FSU Housing, the Rec Fest is a great way to kick off the semester for those who love fitness.

CCI Club Day — Hosted by the FSU College of Communication & Information, on Tuesday, January 14, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., the college will be highlighting their clubs at this event. There are several diverse and intriguing clubs that the FSU CCI has, and each one will be on site to inform students of their different programs. 

Seminole Futures All Majors Career and Internship Fair — The FSU Career Center will host their Seminole Futures All Majors Career and Internship Fair on Thursday, January 23, 2020, from 9:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. This involvement fair, which is open to students of all majors, focuses on connecting students with internship opportunities. A free, professional headshot will also be available to students.   

Free Headshot Event at the FSU Innovation Hub — Hosted by the  FSU College of Communication & Information, individuals can stop by the FSU Innovation Hub (at the Shores Building) for a free, professional headshot on Tuesday, January 14, 2020. Business professional attire is encouraged, and photos will be taken from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. No student ID is required. Find out more information, here.

STEM Career & Internship Fair — On Tuesday, January 28, 2020, from 9:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m., the FSU Career Center will host their STEM Career and Internship Fair at the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering. Employers in the Explore full-time and internship opportunities with employers seeking students in the science, engineering, computer science, and technical fields will be on site to meet with students and network. A free, professional headshot booth will be offered from 10:00  a.m.-2:00 p.m.
