How to Celebrate International Cat Day in Tallahassee

August 8th marks International Cat Day, and here in town, there are plenty of ways to celebrate. It does not matter whether or not you have a feline friend—these fun opportunities are for all cat lovers alike.

Visit the Tally Cat Café  — The Tally Cat Café is a coffeehouse with a mission to save the lives of cats in need. The coffee spot serves all types of coffee and delicious pastries in a space with a window to view The Cat Lounge. Adopt a cat from the Tallahassee Animal Shelter — If you have been interested in adopting a cat, International Cat Day is the perfect opportunity to do so! The Tallahassee Animal Shelter always has cats of all ages available for adoption. You can view their adoptable cats online, here.

Join the cat foster program at the Leon County Humane Society — The Leon County Humane Society offers year-round opportunities to “make a space in your heart and home to save lives” by becoming a foster parent for cats in need.
